Backstage: Story Status

Have you ever wondered what happens to your stories once you start uploading them using Backstage? It's natural to be curious about how your creations progress before they're ready for getting On-Air. This article will explain the different steps your stories go through right from the moment you begin uploading.

Just remember, while we're explaining the stages as they are today, our platform is always improving. If there are any changes to these stages in the future, we'll update you in this article.

Let's dive into the journey of your stories through Backstage, one simple step at a time.

1. IN PROGRESS

When you see your project marked as "IN PROGRESS," it simply means you've started creating your story, but it's a work in progress. You're actively adding content and information to bring your vision to life.

2. SUBMISSION SUCCESSFUL

Once you've completed your story, you can submit it. When it's marked as "SUBMISSION SUCCESSFUL," your work has successfully entered our review queue. It's ready for our team to take a closer look.

3. UNDER REVIEW

First, our Media team begins their review to ensure your content aligns with our guidelines.
In some cases, we may request a legal check to ensure everything is above board.
Once the legal check is complete, the Media team continues their review with the added information.

4. NEEDS FIXING: CONTENT OR TECHNICAL

Sometimes, we might spot areas that need improvement during the review process. In this case, your story will be marked as "NEEDS FIXING," and our team will provide guidance on what needs to be addressed.

Needs Fixing: Content

Please review the provided feedback and resubmit your Story after the changes you've made accordingly.

Needs Fixing: Technical
Your story will automatically become editable once it has been flagged as 'Needs Fix.' Please make the necessary changes directly through Backstage.

5. FIX SUBMITTED

For Needs Fixing: Content, once you've made the required changes and resubmitted your story, the story's status will change to "FIX SUBMITTED". Once this status appears, our team will review the changes you've made.

6. BEING CURATED

If your story makes it through the initial review, it moves on to the "BEING CURATED" stage. Here, our Curation team will fine-tune it to ensure it meets our quality standards.

7. QA

"QA" stands for Quality Assurance. Once our Curation team has worked their magic, another team performs a final review to make sure everything is in order.

8. ON AIR

Congratulations! When your story reaches the "ON AIR" status, it means it's officially live and available for our audience to enjoy.

9. CANCELLED

If, for any reason, your story doesn't align with our platform's guidelines or is deemed unsuitable for publication, it may be "CANCELLED." We will provide feedback in such cases.

We hope this guide clarifies the various statuses you might encounter on Backstage. Remember, our platform is designed to support your creative journey, and we're here to help you every step of the way. If you have any questions or encounter any changes in these statuses, we'll keep you informed right here in this article.

Happy creation!
