The purpose of this document is to give you comprehensive guidelines of our needs to produce your perfect profile pic.
Your picture says a thousand words about you. This is the most powerful element in your media kit
when it comes to creating your public image. Remember, they see your picture before they play your video. Make it a good first impression.
Artlist’s subscribers are professional filmmakers who are extremely visually oriented. A captivating photo can be the key to expanding your audience.

In a nutshell:
- Avoid using pictures of you posing directly to the camera while holding a camera or laptop or any other tool
- Avoid using photos of you that are unrelated to your line of work
- A filmmaker in a "set environment" is best where you can see the context of the shoot.
- Avoid using photos where the set is overloaded with details
- Avoid filters, special effects, graphics, text, or logos.
- Technical Requirements: Please Submit the source file. File format: JPG, PNG, RAW. Resolution: at least 1500 x 1500. Please crop the composition to 1:1 so make sure it is compatible
- The format should be Horizontal (landscape) shots with wide margins, not too zoomed in, since we use narrow banner-like photos for the artist page.
- If possible, send us different versions of the profile photo from which we will be able to choose the one that matches our visual language best
