Submissions
Do: submit holiday content 6 months in advance
- Our data shows that users begin downloading holiday content 2 months before the holiday
- To maximize visibility and download potential of your holiday-themed story, please submit it 6 months in advance to allow sufficient time for curation and airing
Do: submit RAW data in addition to LOG
- RAW data is always better to include because if the option to download the footage is also in raw, the odds are higher that your content will be downloaded, leading to more downloads and royalties
Don't: submit a plethora of unorganized clips
-
Make sure you use only your best clips and organize each story based on a common theme
-
It's preferred that each story isn't too large (less than 40 clips)
Practices
Don't: animal chase
- We have become aware of instances where drone pilots deliberately chase animals to frighten them into running, in order to catch such behavior on film
- We strongly condemn this unethical practice
- We will not accept any footage that could be perceived as a result of this practice
Cameras
Do: use a camera compatible with our regulations and the content shot
- Make sure the camera you're using is one of our accepted cameras
- The type of camera used for the specific clip should be determined by the content being shot
- For example: we recommend Ember High Speed Cameras for very lit (full of daylight), outdoor environment, GoPros for action sports, DJIs for drones, etc.
Don't: film with Canon XF305
- Footage from this camera will not be accepted, as the camera specs are too low
